Almost There
May is making a grand appearance with new life, blossoms, and greenery sprouting everywhere. Likewise, Palmetto Park, our brand new community is almost ready to bloom. Final touches are being made during this last month of construction. Residents of Baptist Inn and Garrison Personal Care have made their room choices. A moving company has been selected and a date set for moving (June 10, 11, 13).
There will be a Family night meeting for our residents and family members at 7:00 PM on May 18, 2005. During the meeting details of the move will be planned and helpful tips and guidance will be provided by our relocation team. A team of professionals has been engaged to plan and execute our move with the least disturbance of operations as possible. Nonessential furnishings and offices will be moved to the new location on Friday. The following Saturday morning, residents will have breakfast at Baptist Inn and Garrison Personal Care, then be served lunch with their family at Palmetto Park. Everyone will be reunited under the new roof by the end of the day on Saturday, June 11th. We can give thanks in our new chapel Sunday June 12th, and then finish up with nonessentials on Monday, June 13th.
We will be transplanting many of our lovely scrubs and flowers, so if you have a green thumb, we could use the volunteer gardening expertise. For those who lack experience but would be willing to get down and dirty, we will have someone to lend expertise as we complete the landscape plan. Our new setting is serene and lovely and we want to compliment the picturesque setting with areas of color and interest.
Bargain hunters may find something of interest in the old community once we have vacated the buildings. We will be accepting bids for left over furnishings, fixtures, and any other items of interest on the grounds. Look us over and make us an offer; you might find a treasure. Any proceeds from the salvage of these properties will be invested in furnishings and operations of the new community. We are trusting God to send us plenty of scavengers, so tell your friends.
