CHRISTMAS WITH
BAPTIST RETIREMENT COMMUNITIES

Christmas is indeed merry and well celebrated at all of our Baptist Retirement Communities. Clairmont Crest residents began the season with two days of decking the halls and trimming the trees during which they made the lobbies and common areas proclaim a festive atmosphere. Residents display crafts and have opportunities to purchase specialty items in the Christmas gift shop opened just for this time of year. Caroling followed by a famous cider sip is an event enjoyed by everyone as residents and friends gather around the big tree in the courtyard to sing seasonal favorites. Later in the month there is the annual tour of homes when residents open their apartments for visitors to share refreshments and view their creativity and decorating skills. Prizes for best theme and most unusual add a little competition.

Meanwhile at Palmetto Park residents are decorating their new community and enjoying a gift exchange party. Local church and community groups have added to the enjoyment by visiting, caroling, and presenting special Christmas programs. Dietary staff will be preparing a holiday dinner complete with homemade pie.

The true joy of Christmas at Baptist Retirement Communities however comes with the realization of the heart of Christmas and the celebration of the Christ Child and the salvation He brings for all. What pleasure it is to be a part of an organization that truly wishes everyone a Merry Christmas.
